Brief Introduction

As promised earlier in the year, I said that there would be a competition sometime, and I have decided this is the best time to start the competition, in conjunction with Christmas, New Years Eve as well as reaching our 5000 member milestone.

How does it work?

Basically, throughout random posts in random topics throughout the forum (music section as well as offtopic sections) there will be little icons hidden as 'easter eggs'. These icons are your key to gaining tickets. These tickets will be used as a raffle, which will be drawn randomly with a SQL query.

Besides obtaining tickets from clicking the gift icons, you can also obtain tickets through mini competitions listed in this section.

Posting music will get 2x tickets per music entry which will be applied to your account by an administrator.

Competition Rules
  • For each particular icon, you will only get one ticket. (This is already in the script in order to prevent exploiting...)
  • It is forbidden to exploit or hack this mod
  • It is forbidden to reveal where the icons are to fellow members (If you do reveal them, it'll only reduce your chances of winning ;))
  • Those who distribute the gift icons are unable to participate in order to ensure fairness.

Failure to abide to the rules listed above will result in a ban from future competitions and/or a warning or ban issued to your account.

Well, since I'm still on my 3+ months vacation... I'm away from home

Where I am living now, I have decided to cut off the internet there.

Why remove yourself from such a valuable resource that's worth absolutely everything?!?!?

The broadband here charges by calendar months (first of each month to end of each month), and so since I'll be heading back home on the 16th, it'll mean that I will be paying for the full month and not use the remaining 10+ days even though I'm paying for it. I have decided to save some money for the relatives here as I still can get internet access once every few days while I'm visiting my aunt. It'll mean that I cannot have enough time to process the tickets, allocate new music uploads and organise prizes.

I have extended the dead line competition closing date to: 28th February 2009. This will mean once I get settled back, I can start organising the placings and prizes as I have internet back home.

All those that upload or contribute during this extended period will have tickets allocated to full value.

More info will be available when I get back home...

Thanks for reading and good luck for all participants. I apologize for not being online during the past 4 days for informing all of you beforehand. This competition will continue and won't 'mysteriously' disappear, so don't worry :)

How do I search for music on the forums? All I get are random topics but no uploads...

Click search in the header, (under search options) tick the 'Search for music entries' to Yes and enter in the field above as you would normally do and they will come up ^ ^

Please speak proper English (remember your full stops, capital letters and all - They're little things but make it a lot easier for everyone!) Please don't flame the Ding Dong or mock Engrish inside posts too. It's really mean! =D
