I'm currently playing XI and i will definitely pick up XIV. I'm looking forward to it.

I stopped playing FFXI a few months ago because it was sucking the life out of me haha. Partly because it requires forming parties with other ppl to progress so it's not like I can quit halfway through a session. If we can solo on FFXIV I will definitely give it a go! Can't wait.

This is definitely something I'm looking forward too. Hopefully it won't suck the life out of me like XI.

I SERIOUSLY can't believe people are still playing FFXI. I did my 2-3 years of time with it while I was living in Japan a few years ago, but it came to the point that I realized, Square just wouldn't listen to their customers at all. People all over the world complained about the same issues constantly, but Square never made any attempts to seriously remedy them. Sure they made leveling SLIGHTLY easier, but not really. Overall, nothing has been done to fix all the problems and I just couldn't justify wasting my life on a broken system anymore. That, and my wife would've probably left me if I didn't stop playing.

That being said, it seems Square has finally listened to what their customers have been saying for years and I am very excited to play FFXIV, especially since I love the FF series, just not the XI system. Of course, I'm sure it took them losing at least half their American base to WoW for them to realize they should probably not design a game in which it takes 5-10 hours a day at least to make any progress.

I'd like to play Final Fantasy XIV when it comes out. Hopefully it will be enjoyable.

Too many story jumps. i can't even follow it. It's like - medieval with magic, then getting better technology, then getting modernized, then getting super advanced humanoids, then super insane advanced technology, then back to wooden bows and arrows? Am I missing something here?
