What do you like most about it?
I dunno, I don't have a problem with iTunes at all. It keeps my library clean and organized, and the small details make it worthwhile. I especially appreciate how easy it is to make a playlist compiled of anything you want, in 2 seconds. Displaying my album artwork in a gallery is always fun to play with too haha. Hooking up my ipod is convenient, I choose what goes in without any time or trouble. It plays any file format of song or movie I need, and IDtag and info is easy to edit. Not to mention, I like to include translated lyrics to most of my favourite J/K songs, which is really easy to do, too.
What don't you like/what's missing?
Unlike WinAMP (at least what I remember), I can't make a queue for song playback! Which sucks because I'm always jumping around my entire playlist. There's always Party/Song Shuffle, sure, but for those days when I want to listen to nothing but my absolutely favourite songs, or just mood songs... ick. >.<
I don't really get an option of different skins either, which is meh. My friend has his WinAMP skin set to an animated, moving thing of Haro from Gundam SEED/Des, which is sweet haha.
If so, im a loser too.
I use iTunes 7, for two reasons: 1. i use a mac, so its the default one. 2. I love it.
I already used on my pc days winamp, foobar, wmp, KMP Player, and a lot more, but iTunes is the only one that somehow, does what i want to.
@Kinsei:
About the shuffle/favourite songs, you can make a smart playlist with for example, your *** + (three stars plus) rated musics, and one playlist ONLY with your favourites... you just have to switch, using that way.
Good material here:
http://james.cridland.net/blog/2007/01/ ... ter-music/ (its about nano auto-filling, but it uses that playlist method.)
As an Ipod user, i think i dont have what to complain about iTunes... really. I dont like changing skins, or things like that, so im happy with my iTunes. :P
KMP Player is the second one on my favs,
heres a link:
http://www.kmplayer.comIt uses an engine like winamp, but it is bundled with ALL codecs you would ever need (both video + audio) , yet it is pretty ram-friend.
