Well, usually I wouldn't be too exited about a new browser release (as I love my Opera), but Google Chrome looked very promising. So I have it a go. And you know what? It's absolutely awesome. Sure, it's missing lots of flashy things, but this is just a first release, all this stuff can be added later, onto this core.

Everything in the browser was discrete (i loved the fading status bar), and the incognito tabs and etc. I'm yet to see some benchmark test results (might tyr some myself), but Chrome seems to be quick at loading things and start-up. Give it a couple of months, some new releases, and it'll rival all other browsers I believe. Maybe even take over IE as the most used browser (it has this potential).

Looks nice, sleek, works nice, is minimalistic, even the auto-fill address bar is discrete.

What are your views on it?

~_~ ... I am typing on Chrome right now and I don't see any faster than my FF 3.0 when loading this site o_O . Except maybe the cute looking interface .
Maybe you guys have FF 2.xx version or something, if yes, plz update it now becuz it will be better :) . Also, I run quite a few plugin w/ FF which make it the best for me, and it doesn't make it any slower than this barebone Chrome o_O .

Well, I assume Google still wants to add lots of crap and increase the speed (this is the first beta after all).. and doesn't FF3's Awesome Bar jsut get extremely annoying?
Personally, I never used Firefox, and never will, so I'll stick with Opera until Chrome steals mouse gestures from it. Then it will be truly awesome.

What Awesome Bar are you talking about ???
One of the reason couple months ago that I use Opera since FF 2.xx crap out on me by crashing frequently was it had that nice Fast Dial feature for any site you want to put there . Then FF 3.0 I found that plugin for it and use it ever since :D . I put a bunch of site there, and this site is one of them hehehe .

I am using it now, I like the idea of each tab being a separate process, that way when one tab stuffs up the others still work. I have yet to see that feature in action since it just crashes at random times (it's just a beta after all).

And there's a spell checker!

The auto-fill address bar.. i'm pretty sure it was called the "Awesome Bar" or something along those lines.
