let me start by saying, its a Very unneeded movie Y_Y

most of this movie, rehash's the same old story, the ones we all know
How Bruce became batman
or Who superman is etc, we all know these storys, and if you know anything about the xmen you know most of this story too =\

the movie starts out, telling the story from the series "origin" with slight changes, one of which is a constant which makes the overall story in these movies hard to follow -,_-, sadly the ACTUAL backstory is kinda, blured to say the least, the total "real past" lasts about 18 mins...

like 3 explaining him running away from home after a indecent *where many things are changed such as Name, and History's of characters*
shortly after that, it shows him and his "brother" fighting in the civil war - World War II, shortly after which you find out his brother is sabertooth *never actually stated* in addition most of those wars there were MANY other side stories that could have been told, IE Omega Red, his fighting with Captain America, etc etc etc a lot happens in these stories that shift though the credits randomly changing from war to war -.-

after this, it swaps to a few random stories, most of which i dont recall being in the subject material and above all its annoying that none of the mutants shown besides Blob is made clear who they are *outside of Wolv/saber* from that point foward, it tells the story of Weapon X -.- *IE the other 1 hour 10 mins or so of the story*

now that i explained a bit of what it actually shows, the overall movie, is just what i said above, with Catchphrases and effects here and there, but in no way worth the effort to go see, tons of story elements are changed timewise, and the whole Sabertooth = his brother, got really annoying really fast -,_-,...

if you like movies with a lot of effects, then i guess i would say go see this, but this movie is filled with random BS, and even the more notable characters, like Gambit appear for maybe 6 mins total, and MOST of what he does is shown in the commercials....

Have to agree.
**Spoilers Ahead***
I really hate how they just threw out names to all these random mutants.
The worst was Wade Wilson aka Deadpool.
All of a sudden, he has optic blasts, teleportation, and katana claws (which, by the way is pretty stupid, considering how it would be impossible for him to bend his arms when retracted, considering the length of them.) Not to mention the Merc with a Mouth has NO mouth!
Silver Fox and Emma Frost are now sisters.
Maverick/ Agent Zero is now a villain (and Asian, which I don't really have a problem with).
And it doesn't seem to address why Sabertooth seemed to be braindead in the first X-men movie, and have no recollection of Wolverine.

i always assumed it was because Sabertooth never really had a personality he just disliked wolverine, and beat him up for a never stated reason...

but i kinda dont see why youre gonna completely ignore the comics and just write your own Origin @_@ it will just confuse and enrage a lot of people

Hopefully the Deadpool movie is more invigorating.

I honestly didn't want to watch this movie; but at the theatres Star Trek isn't even out yet. Pretty much concur with what's stated above, this Wolverine movie was unnecessary. I enjoyed the CGI of them traveling through time entering wars, and that was a bout it.

This movie was ok, but as others said, definitely not necessary.

I kinda liked the movie. Drama was good, action was good, and it was pretty serious. The only downside to the whole movie was the terrible portray of Deadpool. I mean seriously, people was probably all like "Wtf?" when he showed up. I kinda liked him when he looked human in the beginning.
